Oswego County Continues Flood Mitigation Efforts
A Lake Ontario flood warning remains in effect for Oswego County until 11 p.m. Monday (May 8) due to wind conditions. West-northwest winds are expected to continue pushing Lake Ontario’s waters onto the shoreline causing significant flooding as well as beach and coastline erosion. The Oswego County Emergency Management Office is working closely with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services and Office of Emergency Management as well as local municipalities to monitor the situation and coordinate lake flooding mitigation efforts.
