Oswego Health representatives updated the Oswego Common Council this week on their impact on the Port City area. A plan is in the works to alleviate the parking congestion on the streets surrounding Oswego Hospital. It is a plan that will bring relief to many residents in the area, the Third Ward Councilor said.
BREAKING NEWS: On Tuesday June 17, 2014, the Oswego City Police Department and the Oswego County District Attorney’s Office received a positive identification from the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office relative to the human remains recovered from the Oswego River within the City of Fulton last week.
On June 16, 2014, Barbara Fedeli was also pronounced deceased at University Hospital in Syracuse from injuries suffered in Sunday’s crash, state police said today (June 18).

The SUNY Oswego College Council on June 6 approved honoring the Maranos with a named facility in recognition of Lorraine Marano’s generous community spirit and $7.5 million gift to the college, the largest private donation in the college’s 153-year history.
On Sunday, State Police in Fulton responded to a fatal crash that occurred at approximately 11:47 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 3 and State Route 264 in the town of Palermo. Raymond Fedeli was pronounced deceased at Oswego Hospital. Barbara Fedeli was transported to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is continuing.
The Friends of the Oswego City Historian met recently to offer congratulations to newly appointed historian Mark Slosek, and to thank historian emeritus Lou Iorizzo for his valuable contributions during his tenure as Oswego City Historian. The group reviewed and discussed updates to the website, and brainstormed a list of types of articles about Oswego’s history that would be of interest to the public.
