Merlyn Fuller, known to visitors at the Sterling Renaissance Festival as Merry Mischief, has recently published her first book – Fairy Tales & Horror Stories: A Memoir, recalling her North Country childhood and her counter-cultural adulthood. Her music and a book reading will take place June 14 at Fulton’s Arts in the HeART Gallery, at 47 S. First St., across from the city’s gazebo.

“Crafting for a Cure” from Fitzhugh Park Elementary School will be at this week’s Oswego Farmers’ Market as they attempt to assist Oswego Oncology and the Galisano Children’s Hospital. Their goal is to raise $1,000. FPS ‘Crafting for a Cure’ at Farmers’ Market This Thursday Evening

Sixth graders Alyssa Searor and Maddy Graham wanted to do something for a good cause and both enjoyed crafting. Alyssa said, “I was making lots of loom bracelets and Mrs. Haessig thought it might be a way of helping others.” Meanwhile, Maddy noted, “We thought it would be nice to have a fundraiser for Oswego Oncology and the Galisano Children’s Hospital and we are doing that through making crafts.”

Oswego Police Announce 2 Crack Cocaine Arrests

At about 12:45 a.m. today (June 10), the Oswego City Police Department’s Anti-Crime Team executed a search warrant at 24 Ontario St., second floor apartment, in the city of Oswego, relative an investigation into the alleged crack cocaine sales being perpetrated at that location. A Syracuse man and an Oswego woman were arrested as a result.
