Road Closure/Detour Notification In Oswego

The road closure/detour will go into effect at 7 a.m. on February 10 and as part of the Consent Decree Project, J. J. Lane will be closing West Fifth Street from Ellen Street to Prospect Street, in order to install a new storm sewer on the west side of the street. Traffic detours will be set up at Tallman Street.

Children’s Museum Recognizes The First 40

CMOO’s display of their First 40 Members’ plaques attests to the creative energy within the organization and represents their ability to ‘piece together’ members of the community. The Children’s Museum of Oswego has successfully completed its initial funding campaign, The First 40. The campaign was designed to reach a goal of $40,000 through the generous gift of $1,000 from 40 individuals, businesses and foundations in and around the Oswego County area. It was CMOO’s ambition to pursue donors who believe strongly in the mission and vision of the museum.

Bridge Street In Oswego re-opens

The problem on Bridge Street has caused traffic to back up along Utica Street.

UPDATE:  The Bridge Street bridge in Oswego is re-opened.

Centro routes are back to normal, but may become delayed due to heavy traffic at times.

Crews from National Grid were installing four new light poles in the area West First and Bridge streets Friday afternoon when they discovered a flow of water. Workers were excavating attempting to find the source of the leak and fix it.
