County Lifts Sales-Tax Cap On Gasoline Sales
Though the decision was not unanimous, Oswego County lawmakers decided Thursday to lift a two-year-old sales-tax cap on gasoline. Now, officials are waiting for the revenue stream that is anticipated once the change goes into effect.

Two developers in the Town of Oswego are planning on building student housing. It appears doubtful that city officials will allow them to tie into the city’s sewer system. The developers will now have to construct their own onsite sewage treatment plants.

Oswego PD Announce Plans For Harborfest
The department is anticipating that this year’s Harborfest will be more of a challenge for emergency services, residents and those attending these festivities, due to the Route 104 Bridge Project. Certain traffic changes, such as restricted parking on certain streets, and the closing of the Utica Street Bridge to vehicular traffic immediately following the Saturday night fireworks display (from about 9 p.m. to midnight), will be in effect.
