Oswego Police Investigating Possible Methamphetamine Lab – Suspect Arrested

UPDATE:  An arrest has been made as a result of the investigation into a possible methamphetamine lab at 11 Gregory St. Oswego. Brenda L. Howard, 41, of 11 Gregory St., Oswego, was arrested and charged with the following: Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the 3rd Degree – Class D Felony. Police responded to the location in regard to an unrelated complaint. Upon investigation, officers developed information and later made observations, that would indicate that the location had been used for the illegal  manufacture of methamphetamine.

The 2013 Children’s Parade Steps Off At New Time

This year’s Children’s Parade is sure to create a positive and exciting environment full of community support.

The parade will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Breitbeck Park, a change from years past, but will be preceded by a variety of fun and family-friendly pre-parade activities. Starting at 10 a.m., Breitbeck will host the Entergy Nuclear Activity Tent, where children can enjoy free face painting, temporary tattoos, crafts and fun hands-on activities.
