World War II Veteran Brings LT-5 Tugboat To Life

World War II veteran Joe Murabito with his LT-5 Tugboat picture and 155th Infantry Army uniform. Badges on his uniform include his combat infantry badge, year of service, pacific badge, badge rank and his discharge badge. "I am no hero, just one of the many that were there," said Murabito.The LT-5 tugboat, docked at the H. Lee White Marine Museum in Oswego, is a National Historic Landmark because of its brave acts during World War II. The tugboat tells a story that no one else can tell but one man. A story that this man lived as he too faced brave acts of his own, making the LT-5 not only a tour but an experience of a lifetime.

Youth Softball League Helps Strike Out Cancer

The league’s coaches and players have come together this season to help one of their own. At this weekend’s championship game, $1,300 was donated to Makayla Walker and her family. The funds will help defray her medical expenses as she battles an abdominal desmoid tumor so aggressive – it’s classified as a cancer.

Oswego County Drug Task Force Joint Investigation Leads To Arrests

Three Fulton residents were recently arrested following a joint investigation conducted by members of the Oswego County Drug Task Force and the Fulton City Police Department after a search warrant was executed by the Fulton City Police, the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Oswego County Drug Task Force.
