Steven Sears, 40, of Phoenix, was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said. The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating the driver of the vehicle. According to witnesses, the driver fled because he was drunk and could not have another DWI.
The LT-5 tugboat, docked at the H. Lee White Marine Museum in Oswego, is a National Historic Landmark because of its brave acts during World War II. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, a division of SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations, will celebrate 40 years in Oswego County with a recognition luncheon Sept. 5. The event, titled “Volunteers Are the Heart and Soul of the Community,” will take place at SUNY Oswego’s Hewitt Union.
Three Fulton residents were recently arrested following a joint investigation conducted by members of the Oswego County Drug Task Force and the Fulton City Police Department after a search warrant was executed by the Fulton City Police, the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team, the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Oswego County Drug Task Force.
