GENIUS Olympiad Brings World’s Brightest To Oswego

The event is an international competition for high school students who’ve completed projects to solve real-world environmental issues. This year’s Olympiad is the largest in the event’s short history with more than 550 participants from across the United States and the world. The awards ceremony is open to the public and is scheduled for Friday at 1:15 p.m. in the Campus Center Arena.

Oswego School Board Tackles Busy Agenda

Board members unanimously agreed to a contract with the Association of Administrative Personnel. The contract will expire on June 30, 2016 and provides for a 2% annual raise in salary. The board faced a full agenda during its final 2012-013 regular meeting. Under the “Board of Education” portion the canvass for the May budget vote and elections was approved and the board accepted the meeting schedule for 2013-2014. The “Instruction” area of the agenda passed unanimously. Approval was given for the continuation of the First Robotics Club, Sailing Club and Weight Lifting Club at the Oswego High School.

The event involved players from Oswego County, Onondaga County, the State of New York, and the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station, operated by Constellation Energy Nuclear Group.

The family escaped the fire safely, but lost everything. Noah knew there was something he could do to help the family and he knew just who could help him – the students and staff at his school.

Fulton Common Council Unanimously Approves Zoning Change

The change will allow houses in the M-1 manufacturing zone that have been vacant for more than one year to once again be used as residential property. Prior to the approval of the resolution, those homes would have lost their residential status. Proponents say this will hopefully entice more people buy homes in Fulton.
