Northern Oswego County Health Services, Inc., the operator of the Pulaski Health Center, has become the largest provider of primary healthcare services in Oswego County.
State Aid Increase in State Budget Boosts County Schools, Except Hannibal

State lawmakers negotiated an extra $100 million into the 2013-14 state budget for aid to schools. They said the aid would be focused on high need, low wealth school districts who have been hurt the most by the state’s cuts in aid in the last few years.
But it appears they forgot Central New York’s neediest, poorest district: Hannibal.
Oswego School Chief Presents Budget Plan; Staff Reductions Included
Superintendent Bill Crist formally present his 2013-14 budget proposal to the board of education at Tuesday’s meeting. The tentative budget, right now, is $78, 402,453. A total of 11.6 full-time positions could be eliminated.
Four Young Men Dead in Town of Oswego Crash
UPDATE 8:35 p.m.: Authorities have released the names of the four victims of a fatal crash on Engles Road in the Town of Oswego. Authorities say it happened last night and wasn’t discovered until about 9:30 a.m. today.

To continue compliance with the New York State Comptroller’s Five Point Plan, the Oswego City School District is seeking community members interested in volunteering to assist the district to serve on the District’s Audit Committee.

Council Sets Public Hearing Regarding Swimming Pools
An amendment to the city charter would allow the city the right to enter the owner’s property to fill in or remove the abandoned swimming pool. The public hearing will be held April 8 at 7:10 p.m.
Schumer, Gillibrand Announce $1.5 Million Loan Guarantee For Pulaski Manufacturer Bringing Back Jobs From China
U.S. Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand today announced a federal loan guarantee worth $1,530,000 for HealthWay Home Product and V-Squared Management in Pulaski to help finance a construction project to grow the business, expand operations, and bring an expected 25 manufacturing jobs back to Oswego County from China.
