Leavens, 22, of Oswego, used text messages and Facebook to try to get a 14 year old boy to have sex with him, according to his signed plea agreement.

Recently the Oswego jayvee girls basketball team capped off a fundraiser for Makayla Walker, a sixth-grade student at Oswego’s Fitzhugh Park Elementary School. Money raised will go toward medical expenses for Makayla, who is battling cancer.
Ron Kaplewicz and Mike Myers are re-elected president and vice president, respectively, of the council. However, a resolution containing a salary increase for the positions was tabled.
