The average temperature was 1.5 degrees higher than normal. Precipitation was very close to average and snowfall was 4.4 inches below average.
After a lengthy executive session Wednesday night, the Oswego Common Council passed a resolution regarding a five-year agreement with the firefighters’ union. There is no wage increase for the first three years of the new pact.

The investigation revealed that a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire, driven by Sarah J. Teifke, 24, was eastbound on County Route 45 and a 2004 Western Dump Truck, driven by George D. Preeman, 61, was northbound on State Route 481. The Pontiac Sunfire failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and was struck by the dump truck on the passenger’s side, troopers said.

On Tuesday afternoon, members of Fort Drum’s 10th Mountain Division visited second grader Julian Ross at his home and made him an honorary sergeant and presented him with a variety of military equipment, including a uniform, a 10th Mountain Division banner and dog tags.
At its meeting Monday night, the Administrative Services Committee recommended transferring $5,000 to cover the cost for the CitySourced materials and equipment. The system will help the city reduce paperwork and create efficiencies, the council president noted.
