The Oswego City School District is exploring a plan to redistrict its five elementary buildings. The plan impacts the fewest number of students possible and doesn’t close a school, Superintendent Bill Crist told the board of education Tuesday night.
It’s going to get cooler and a bit windy, too. Look for snow showers to return as well.
The one-year agreement provides for an adjustment for the payment of dental insurance for covered employees to the SEIU Local-200 Benefit Fund retroactive to Jan. 1, 2011, and an increase to the monthly health insurance premium contribution paid by covered employees effective Feb. 1, 2012.
The director of the E-911 Center said they are a considering plan to move toward shared services and or consolidation of service. They are seeking grant money to help fund a study to determine whether the move would be feasible for Oswego County.
The Oswego City Police Department reports that during the time frame of Jan. 22 from approximately 8:30 p.m. through Jan. 23 at approximately 6 a.m., three vehicles were stolen from within / around the city of Oswego, as well as property stolen from within at least two additional vehicles.

There was a flurry of activity Saturday at Fulton Alliance Church. It was the site of the CNY Arts Center’s Family Snow Day.
The friendly competition helps support Oswego County’s only Catholic school. Eight three-member teams took part in the annual fund-raiser, which featured some of the hardest words in its history. Undaunted, Fulton Savings Bank claimed title number six.
