Broadway Bridge Project on Fulton Council Agenda
The main item for tonight’s Fulton Common Council meeting is next year’s project to fix the deteriorating Broadway bridge over the Oswego River.
The bridge will be shut down while the state rebuilds the bridge, in the same way that the Route 104 bridge was shut down through downtown Oswego during its repair.
The Council will take up three items related to the project. See the full agenda inside.

Council Looks To Form Oswego’s First Dog Park
The Crisafulli baseball diamond area of Breitbeck Park is going to the dogs. At its meeting Monday night, the Physical Services Committee gave a favorable recommendation to transforming the currently idle baseball field into a park for canines. The full council will consider the plan next week.

Over the last 30 years, Renae and her team, has helped 1,743 area adults earn their General Educational Development (GED) certificate. This certificate is equivalent to the high school diploma.

Roofing Work Wraps Up at Fort

He tells us Enwright Roofing finished its work this past week on the administrative building at Fort Ontario. It’s the building that houses the fort’s administrative offices, souvenir sales and rest facilities.

City-County Youth Court Training Session Wraps Up
Nearly two dozen students from around the county are taking the first steps last week to becoming active members of the City-County Youth Court program. Youth Court is a Family Court diversion program aimed at reducing juvenile delinquency in the city and county of Oswego.

Phoenix Woman Dies in North Country Accident
State Police say Sean Johnson drove to his camp on the shore of Black Lake in Macomb, St. Lawrence County because his mother was staying alone at the camp and had not answered his phone calls for the past few days.

State DOT Holds Public Meeting Monday on Rt. 264 Project
The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will hold a public information meeting on Monday, July 18, 2011 regarding a proposed culvert replacement project on Route 264 at Bell Creek, in the Town of Schroeppel, Oswego County.
