Concession From Teachers’ Union Helps District Shrink Budget Gap
Teachers’ union has agreed to a pay freeze for the coming school year. This puts $88,000 back into the school district’s budget, the superintendent noted. The district has come up with a little more than $500,000 in savings elsewhere. The final budget proposal will be presented March 22.

Weather Notebook For March 8, 2011
Things quieted down on Monday. According to Fulton’s weather observer, no snow or rain fell on March 7. And, today looks pretty good, too.

Assault Investigation Results In One Arrest
A city man who called police claiming he had been assault was himself arrested over the weekend. In the course of their investigation, police discovered allegedly unlawfully possessed hypodermic instruments in his residence. The assault investigation is on-going.
