Oswego Council To Consider Property Tax Cap Plan
According to a proposed resolution prepared by the New York Conference of Mayors: A property tax cap without repeal of costly state mandates will, by definition, lead to drastic cuts in essential local services and dramatic layoffs of municipal employees. They urge state leaders to reform the costs drivers that lead to higher property taxes in New York – including pension benefits, health insurance costs and the collective bargaining process.
Oswego Town Opts For Less Expensive Ambulance Coverage
Mentor Ambulance has made a proposal to the town board to provide ambulance coverage from the sub station they are looking to purchase on County Route 7/Byer Road. Their proposal reportedly is at no cost to the town.
