He wears a gustoweh that identifies him as a member of the Onondaga Nation; one feather is up and one is down and to the side. The number and arrangement of feathers on the gustoweh helped identify the wearer as a member of the Iroquois Confederacy and the tribe to which they belonged.Take a visual tour of the proposed new logo for Fulton’s sports teams and high school. See it as its designers saw it.  We’ll break down the new logo, element by element, a process which reveals some of the story of the Iroquois in Fulton and shows how the designers want to convey an image of strength, pride and intelligence.

Women weren’t even allowed the right to vote in America. All that changed this week in 1920, with the passing of the Nineteenth Amendment, which gave all women the right to vote.

Oswego School Board Revisits Administrators Resolution

A move to reduce the number of administrators in the district by four came back to the table at Tuesday’s board of education meeting. Just as it did this spring, if failed to get the required support to pass. In other action, the board named a new law firm as the district’s attorney.
