A second fisherman who had to be rescued from the rapidly rising waters of the Oswego River has died.
Clifford Luther, 52, of Horseheads, died at Oswego Hospital Tuesday, a week after his rescue.
State Senator Darrel Aubertine has raised and spent a lot more money than his Republican opponent, though each has about the same amount of money left for the campaign’s final days.

US Senator Charles Schumer revealed that the NRC has completed an audit conducted at his urging and will beef up security at nuclear power plants around the country. Recommendations include more training to identify possible terrorists, access to criminal data bases and more frequent re-screening of employees.
