Arnold Granted Conditional Release
A former daycare provider who was convicted of endangering the welfare of a child earlier this year has been released from the Oswego County jail. Audrey Arnold, who was found guilty March 31 after a four-day trial, was sentenced to serve one year in jail June 3; convicted of causing injuries to Fajo Edward while he was in her care May 31, 2006. The child’s parents say they were not aware that Arnold had been released, nor were they notified that she was being considered for release.
Oswego Hospital Awarded $14.4 Million in HEAL NY Funds
Oswego Hospital learned Tuesday it has been awarded $14.4 million in grant funds that enable the health care facility to make improvements to several key hospital departments in order to support the future healthcare needs of residents in Oswego County. The funding, called HEAL NY (Healthcare Efficiency and Affordability Law for New Yorkers) is designated to meet the mandates of the Commission on Health Care Facilities in the 21st Century.

Board To Consider Two For Superintendent Job
The district’s search ended up getting “two very solid school administrators for board consideration,” according to the consultant hired to assist the board. The next step in the process is for the board to interview both candidates next Monday.
