CSEA Supports New Contract With Fulton

Members of the CSEA who are employed by the city of Fulton ratified a new four-year labor agreement Thursday evening. It is the first of the city’s three bargaining units to approve a new labor agreement. The previous contract expired at the end of 2007.  The city is expected to vote on the agreement next week.

Sara Weldin, patient financial/access director, has earned certification as a healthcare access manager. Julie Struallo, patient access representative, earned certification as a healthcare access associate.

Lee/Oswego Talks Fail

Oswego Health has broken off talks with A. L. Lee Memorial Hospital. Those talks might have prevented the closing at the end of this month of Lee Memorial’s emergency room. Oswego Health announced in a news release that it left the talks because Lee Memorial’s plan to combine was too costly. Oswego Health’s full statement is here:
