POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony Brings Special Announcement from One Fulton Family

On this National POW/MIA Recognition Day 2018 (Sept 21,) the Fulton Veterans Council hosted a remembrance ceremony for all Prisoners of War (POW) and Missing in Action (MIA) service members as well as all victims of September 11, 2001. As speakers took to the podium one by one to pay tribute to all POW/MIA service members, a special guest in the audience was preparing to deliver some positive news.

Mayor Barlow Opens New Kingsford Park School Playground

In April 2016, dozens of Kingsford Park Elementary School students marched to City Hall to advocate for a new and safer playground at the park adjacent to their school. Today (September 21), they saw the results of their efforts. Syracuse Man Charged With Violating An Order Of Protection

State Police arrested Chad Chapman, 33, from Syracuse, for Criminal Contempt 1st degree, a class “E” felony and Harassment 2nd degree, a violation, following a domestic incident that occurred Sunday in the Village Green Community parking lot. He is accused of violating an Oswego County Family Court Order of Protection during a altercation with the protected party.

Emotions Run High As Neighborhood Battles Against House ‘Unfit for Occupancy’

An entire first ward neighborhood took a stand at Tuesday’s (Sept 18) regular meeting of the Fulton Common Council. One by one, neighbors of West Second Street South in Fulton addressed their pressing concerns with one troublesome house in their area. They detailed the drastic loss of quality of life in their neighborhood, all alleged to stem from one property: an owner-occupied multi-family unit that has been without water and power for months.
