A special meeting of the Fulton Common Council held Tuesday (March 14) resulted in the approval of eight separate bond resolution totaling roughly $2 million.
Effective immediately, Mayor William J. Barlow Jr. has issued a Travel Advisory in the city of Oswego due to heavy snow accumulations and white-out conditions in our immediate area. The Fulton Police recommend no unnecessary travel in and around the city of Fulton. The Travel Advisory will be in effect until 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

At a special meeting Monday night, facilitated by Third Ward Councilor Nate Emmons, college and city officials gathered to discuss college-community relations. About a dozen residents and a handful of city employees attended the meeting.
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today (March 13) declared a state of emergency across all 62 counties in New York ahead of the extreme winter storm expected to bring heavy snowfall and high winds. The Governor also directed non-essential state employees impacted by the winter storm to stay home from work on Tuesday without having to charge accruals.

Billy Martin’s Cole All Star Circus brought its fascinating fun to Fairley Elementary School in Hannibal yesterday (March 11) to dazzle and delight kids of all ages. Organized by Hannibal Central School District’s adventure club Costa Rica, the event drew in twice as many attendees as last year.
State Police arrested Lawrence J. Kline, 54, from Oneida River Road in Phoenix, for Assault in the second degree, a class “D” felony. On March 8, Mr. Kline was being transported by ambulance from his residence to SUNY University Medical Center in Syracuse for a complaint of back pain.
