The city of Fulton welcomes its veterans home from war. The Fulton Public Library has collected stories from city residents about World War II and the Korean War. A book of these stories has been published and a program to honor its authors will take place November 17.

The Fulton Public Library has announced the date for its 2016 Memoir Project presentation. The project is a local history program designed to commemorate significant events in Fulton by helping its residents preserve their memories. The presentation will take place November 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Cayuga Community College’s Fulton campus community room.

SUNY Oswego Homecoming Celebration Set Nov. 4-5

SUNY Oswego reinstituted a Homecoming celebration in 2015, and decided it was so successful that the 2016 celebration has been expanded to two days. Homecoming 2016 will take place Nov. 4 and 5 at various locations around campus and the city of Oswego. In 2015, hundreds of students, alumni and friends of the Oswego college community participated in Homecoming events.

Fulton City School District Audit Shows Surplus

An external auditor recently summarized the Fulton City School District audit findings which were then relayed to the Board of Education at Tuesday’s (Oct 25) regular meeting. The audit showed that the revenues of the district exceeded the expenditures for the 2015-16 school budget, resulting in an operational surplus just over $518,000 allowing school officials to replenish district’s reserves and fund balances.
