Doug Malone: It’s ‘Nuts’ To Vote For Republicans
Legislator Doug Malone writes: “Are you people out there nuts, or what? Republican Legislatures have ruled Oswego County since it started about 160 years ago. We are in the middle of too many businesses going bust, and it seems like the Majority Republican Legislators don’t even care, or are even the least bit concerned about their constituents well being!”
Concerned About BOCES Direction Under Camerino
I am concerned about the direction our Oswego County BOCES being taken by Dr. Joseph P. Camerino. Many cuts have been made to the classes since he has been in office. He has eliminated the Heating and A/C, Finish Carpentry, Masonry, Electrical programs ~ just to name a few. Now he wants to end the Pre-K classes for 3 & 4 year olds.
Republican Writer Backs Aubertine
I submit, even as the registered Republican that I am, that it will be foolhardy to not vote to return Senator Aubertine to the New York Senate in November.

We are encouraged and excited to announce that the two following, outstanding individuals, have been chosen for endorsement and support for the upcoming elections in November of this year by The Democratic Committee Of Oswego County, and unanimously endorsed by the undersigned Minority Legislators of the Oswego County Legislature.
Thanks For A Great Fundraiser
On behalf of the Oswego County Historical Society I want to thank all of the generous groups, businesses, and individuals who donated such wonderful services to our annual “Good Ole Summer Time – Victorian Picnicâ€! The picnic was held on the lawn at the Richardson-Bates House Museum on a perfectly beautiful Sunday afternoon and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it!
It’s Not Too Late To Save Oswego River
On June 10, in a vote of 13 to 12, members of our county legislature voted down the funding for the eradicating and control of the invasive Chinese water chestnut from the Oswego River. There are more than 200 acres of the water chestnut covering the river in rugs like mats. Every year that the chestnuts go untreated, their numbers and locations proliferate exponentially. This is a serious, present problem.
