October brings Breast Cancer Awareness Month and with it a reminder to women to get screened for breast cancer. But did you know that for some women it’s not so easy?

A recent letter to the editor posted by the Oswego County Republican Chairman has prompted me to write this letter. He has taken facts and request for action and labeled them as “Mudslinging.” Which is just what people caught doing something questionable do.

Oswego County Airport is a state of the art airport serving as an integral part of the Federal Transportation System. We currently have 76 aircraft based on the field and are classified as a General Aviation Airport.

My take on the request by the Majority Caucus asking for an increase from two-year terms to four-year terms. “League of their own” most famous line is “Crying, are you crying? There is no crying in baseball.” Well I say, “Are you whining? There is no whining in the legislature.”

I have heard that expression (No Brainer) many times referring to resolutions requesting actions by the legislative body. Today I was able to be present when three No Brainers were presented to the EDP committee. I will try to make this as short and humorless as possible.

On Thursday 6/13/2019 your Oswego County Legislative body passed another resolution authorizing the building of a ten-plane hanger at the Oswego County Airport. So, 54,000 taxpayers pay so 56 Oswego County residents can park their planes at the airport.

When I found out on March 28 that Mayor Ron Woodward was not seeking re-election, I went to see him. His reasons are his business. I just wanted him to know I always respected him and would support him.
