Team Tapout Racing and driver Tyler Thompson are proud to announce a partnership with Top Quality Construction ahead of this weekend’s Indoor Auto Racing Championship finale in Albany.
The Oswego Eagles Fan Club, a volunteer non-profit organization formed in 1974 with the purpose of supporting Oswego Speedway’s Supermodified and SBS teams, officially relaunched for the 2018 season on February 3 during the Eagles Fan Club ‘Relaunch Party’ at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego.
Oswego Speedway has been an important part of Roger Clark’s weekends for the past several decades. He made his Supermodified racing debut in 1990 with his self-built blue No. 55 and competed in the big block ranks for some ten years. Out of the action since 2000, but still at the track as a crew member for Tim Snyder for just about every race since, Clark is looking forward to a return to the driver’s seat in 2018.
The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team shut out the Fredonia Blue Devils, 5-0, on the road on Saturday night. With the victory, the Lakers improve to 16-3-2 on the season and 11-0-1 in SUNYAC play, while the Blue Devils fall to 9-9-3 overall and 5-7-0 in conference action.
The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team tied No. 1/2 Plattsburgh, 2-2, at the Marano Campus Center Arena on Saturday afternoon. With the tie, the Lakers gave the Cardinals their first conference non-win of the season. Oswego moves to 8-11-2 on the season and 4-7-1 in NEWHL play.
The Lighthouse Lanes SBS touring series will open up the northeast racing season for Oswego Speedway’s signature Small Block Supermodifieds when the division returns to the Evans Mills Speedway for a spring event set for May 12.
The winner of last year’s DIRTcar Sportsman Invitational at the World Short Track Championships in Charlotte, NC, Thompson has spent his winter dueling with the best in TQ Midget racing as a part of the Indoor Auto Racing Championship fueled by VP Racing Fuels.
The Oswego State men’s basketball team suffered a 74-60 loss to league-leading Plattsburgh on the road Friday night. With the misstep, the Lakers are now 9-11 on the year and 6-7 in the SUNYAC while Plattsburgh improves to 16-4, 13-1.
The nationally-ranked Oswego State men’s ice hockey team used two middle period tallies to beat host Buffalo State 4-1 on Friday night. Oswego – ranked fourth in both national polls this week – is now 15-3-2 overall and remain unbeaten in the SUNYAC.
