Alexa Aramburu – a senior from the 2016-17 Oswego State women’s ice hockey team – was one of just 105 players to be selected in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League draft on Sunday. Aramburu was picked 30th overall in the fifth of 23 rounds by the Toronto Furies.

Addison Bowman Racing’s Small Block Super effort will make its competitive debut during Oswego Speedway’s Budweiser International Classic Weekend, with driver Dan Kapuscinski at the wheel, and with Mohawk Northeast on the side of their Pathfinder Bank SBS No. 12 racer.
This Saturday night, August 19, load the family into your car or truck and get in for just $20 (passenger sized vehicles) to see a night of side-by-side dirt track racing on the Fulton Speedway “Highbanks.” Regular pricing remains in effect for those not wishing to pay by the car load. Ages 18 and younger remain free, with adults just $12. Grandstands open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m.
Amidst all of the excitement, festivities and on track action taking place throughout Budwesier International Classic Weekend 2017 at Oswego Speedway will be a special Cornhole Board Raffle to benefit Serese Shampine Marotta and the ‘Families Fighting Flu’ Foundation.
In less than two months, the grounds of Oswego Speedway will be invaded by with racecars, drivers, crew members, and DIRTcar Racing fans attending the 46th annual NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week at Oswego Speedway from October 1-8. Racing’s Biggest Party attracts thousands of fans and competitors from all over the country, all of whom contribute multi-millions of dollars to the local economy.
A new Women’s Handicap Bowling League is forming in Fulton. Competition is set every Thursday beginning at 7 p.m. at Lakeview Lanes located at 723 West Broadway beginning September 7, 2017 and running for 30 weeks. Each team is composed of three members, each bowling three games per week.
