With three days of testing in the books for the 61st running of Budweiser International Classic Weekend at Oswego Speedway, it’s not a surprise to anyone that the man on top of the charts so far is seven-time track champion Otto Sitterly, who posted a 16.371 second lap in the John Nicotra owned No. 51 to be driven this weekend by Joey Moriarty on Wednesday evening.
With the lap sponsors announced for the 61st annual Budweiser International Classic earlier this afternoon, Oswego Speedway is now pleased to release the lap sponsors for 26th annual Bud Light SBS Classic 75, to take place Sunday, September 3.
Just days before the 61st running of the Budweiser International Classic 200 at Oswego Speedway, track management has continued to field requests for lap sponsors for both the Bud Classic 200 and the Bud Light Classic 75 for Small Block Supermodifieds. Now, the books are closed for the 2017 Classic with 132 of the 200 laps being filled with an official sponsor.
Eagle One Fabrications is joining a long list of companies trying to give back to the racers and car owners that make Classic Weekend at Oswego on Labor Day Weekend a must attend race. David Surace has been around racing for more than 35 years. After years of helping out dirt teams, he began to get interest from asphalt teams. As he said, “To me, as long as there’s a race I’m interested.”
With Classic Week officially under way at Oswego Speedway, many fans traveling to the track from across the country, or simply making plans for the weekend, are all looking for a full-time schedule for Friday, September 1, Saturday, September 2, and Sunday, September 3, as the track has fielded several requests for further scheduling and pricing information with the biggest event of the season approaching.

With Oswego Speedway’s contingencies for this Sunday, September 3’s Budweiser International Classic 200 for the Novelis Supermodifieds announced a bit earlier this afternoon, track management is pleased to reveal the payout, contingencies, and driver bonuses for the 26th Bud Light Classic 75 for the Small Block Supermodifieds.
Oswego Speedway’s contingencies for this Sunday, September 3’s Budweiser International Classic 200 for the Novelis Supermodifieds have continued to thrive this season, with over $15,000 being paid to the 34 drivers set to start the marquee event for non-wing Supermodified racing.
It’s official, the 61st annual Budweiser Classic Week at Oswego Speedway is now upon us. With campers from across the continent beginning to move in at 6am Sunday morning, those already on the grounds will have the opportunity to smell the methanol of the Supermodifieds for the first time of the week on Monday, August 28.
