Mike Lichty brought home the second ISMA Supernationals win of his Supermodified career Saturday night at Oswego Speedway, driving the Reed’s Salvage, Patco Transportation No. 84 to victory lane in the 24th running of the event on Budweiser Classic Weekend at the ‘Steel Palace.’ Lichty started on the outside pole, passed polesitter Chris Perley on the outside on lap 1 and never looked back, earning the fifth Oswego checkered flag of his career and the first since May of 2016.

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour points leader Ryan Preece etched his name into Oswego Speedway’s history books as a winner on Saturday (Sept. 2) night in the second annual NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour ‘Toyota Mod Classic’ 150 presented by McDonald’s.
Russ Brown nearly broke his own track record on Central New York Chevy Dealers Classic Qualifying Night at Oswego Speedway Friday evening. Brown, driving a brand new Ray Hedger built machine, took his familiar No. 13 to the top of the charts in Classic qualifying for the Pathfinder Bank SBS at an astounding 18.535 second lap.
North Carolina’s Keith Shampine made history on Friday night at Oswego Speedway, becoming the first Shampine on the pole of the Budweiser International Classic 200 since his Uncle Jim in 1979. Shampine and the Syrell Racing No. 68 of Michael Barnes will sit on the front row for the 61st annual ‘Classic.’
In just one month, fans from all over the United States and Canada will make their annual pilgrimage, with campers in tow, for the Northeast’s biggest dirt racing event of the year. For the second straight year, the event returns to Oswego Speedway. But NAPA Auto Parts has been a longtime partner with Super DIRT Week, having owned the title sponsorship since 2012.
On Thursday’s early afternoon testing session for Oswego Speedway’s 61st annual Budweiser Classic Week, it was pavement racing star Bobby Santos leading the way in the Graham Racing No. 21 built by John Colloca. Santos went 16.970 on old tires in his first Supermodified appearance of the year.
Congratulations to Kevin King (Men’s Division), Joe Berson (Men’s Senior Division) and Lynn Young (Women’s Division) who outshot a competitive field of golfers to become the 2017 Stone Creek Club Champions. The two-day event included a field of 35 golfers across three divisions of gross and net scoring.
Oswego Speedway competitors in the Novelis Supermodified, Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super, International Supermodified Association and NASCAR Whelen Modified divisions will spend the 61st Annual Budweiser International Classic Weekend supporting one of the most legendary names in motorsports history to raise awareness for colorectal cancer.
