If there was a long distance award handed out during the 32nd Annual Sunoco Fulton Ethanol Facility Outlaw 200 Weekend it would go to Evans, Ga., Late Model racer Ahnna Parkhurst. The 17-year-old lady racer will make the almost 1,000-mile trip north to the Fulton Speedway to compete in Pit Stop Convenience Stores – Go Nuclear Late Model 50.

Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, Wednesday (Sept. 20), announced that the team has signed left wing Erik Cole to a ceremonial contract. Cole subsequently announced his retirement from his playing career in hockey. Following Cole’s announcement, Hurricanes President Don Waddell named him as team ambassador.
As the most pervasive class at DIRTcar Northeast tracks, the Sportsman Modified division consists of a talented group of drivers, some of whom have already had a stellar season and are favored to win the Chevy Performance 75 on October 8.
Against Auburn we came out very quick in set 1, we have been working on pushing hard and early in sets and keeping momentum in our favor. Set 2 we again stormed out but we struggled with our defense and were able to rebound. In set 3 we minimized our errors to close out the match.
As the sun goes down at Oswego Speedway on October 7, the lights will go on at Fulton Speedway, just 15 minutes away, when the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series joins NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week for one night of hot racing action along with the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modified 25-lap “Win and You’re In,” determining the final starting position in Sunday night’s Billy Whittaker Cars 200 main event.
Congratulations to Chris Wright (member) and Bob Ruggio (member) on winning the 2017 Stone Creek Golf Club Member-Member Tournament with a two-day total score of 146. The second annual two-day 24 team event included 3 unique matches including 18 holes of Best Ball on day one and on day two, Modified Alternate Shot on the front nine and Captain and Mate on the back nine.
