Budweiser Classic Week is officially under way and to help kick start the celebration a pair of Oswego Speedway race cars will be on display Tuesday evening at the east side McDonald’s located directly in front of the Speedway. They will be on display from 5-8 p.m.
A popular Budweiser International Classic Weekend bonus will return in 2016 after a several year absence, as the drivers running second during each lap of next Sunday’s Budweiser International Classic 200 will receive a 6-pack of Budweiser beer from Eagle Beverage. The 6-pack will actually provide a bit more refreshment than in years past, as the 6-packs provided will be 16-ounce Budweiser cans.
August 27, 2016 – July 2, 1994 was the last time Billy Whittaker won a modified race at the Fulton Speedway. It had also been over a decade since Whittaker got out from behind the wheel of a race car to build a highly successful business, Billy Whittaker Cars Trux before returning to racing in 2015.

Pulling into victory lane for the first time in Jr. Purple Clone was youngster Madison Myers driving the No. 601. Myers bested a tough field of Jr. Purple competitors beating out Kyle Devendorf, Logan Crisafulli, Hunter Hollenbeck, and Tyler Emmons for the win.
Wednesday evening, Novelis Supermodified veteran Todd Stowell took his first laps around Oswego Speedway since the 2010 running of the Budweiser International Classic 200, in anticipation of next Friday’s CNY Chevy Dealers Classic Qualifying Night.
The drivers in first and second position of this year’s International Classic at laps 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180, 190, and 195 will split $400 in lap money with $300 going to the race leader and $100 going to the runner-up.
This Saturday, August 27, the Fulton Speedway has everything for the motorsports fan. Burke’s Do-It-Best Home Centers will present Fast and Furious family entertainment featuring the door-to-door action of a five star dirt racing program, followed by the metal bending fun of King’s Smash Em Crash Em Demo Derbies featuring a $1000-to-win small car demo along with a youth demo.
The leader of lap 100 in this year’s 60th annual Budweiser International Classic 200 for Novelis Supermodifieds at Oswego Speedway will earn an extra $1,500 in cash thanks to Dushore, Pa.’s Insinger Performance.
When Budweiser International Classic Weekend kicks off on September 2, drivers in the Novelis Supermodified division will be vying for an additional $4,000 in Budweiser International Classic purse and contingency listings thanks to partner Total Seal High Performance Piston Rings.
