When Oswego Speedway goes green flag racing on May 14 as a part of the 66th annual season opener presented by Mitchell’s Speedway Press, the Speedway’s weekly contingency program will go into effect giving racers something extra to race for on each night of the upcoming season.
When Oswego Speedway opens the ‘Steel Palace’ gates on May 14, time trials will be utilized to set lineups for the Novelis Supermodifieds and Pathfinder Bank SBS, with track records once again up for grabs and time trial points on the line.

Oswego Speedway Hall of Famer Kenny Andrews, the first Canadian track champion and International Classic winner at the Speedway, passed away on Friday (April 8) at the age of 87. A real estate broker by day in Burlington, Ontario, Andrews was a fierce Supermodified competitor at Oswego on the weekends.
Following up its New York State Championship, the team, based out of Skaneateles, and comprised of least one player from each Section III Girls Hockey School, including Whitney Daino of Oswego and Christina Ravesi from Fulton, proved to be one of the best in the country.
Thanks to the help of several Nolan Swift and Oswego Speedway race fans, the section of the Albany Street hill between Jim Shampine Drive and City Line Road in front of Oswego Speedway will now be named Nolan Swift Drive, with a dedication ceremony set for May 21 at 3 p.m on the corner of Shampine and Swift Drive.
