Thanks to the help of several Nolan Swift and Oswego Speedway race fans, the section of the Albany Street hill between Jim Shampine Drive and City Line Road in front of Oswego Speedway will now be named Nolan Swift Drive, with a dedication ceremony set for May 21 at 3 p.m on the corner of Shampine and Swift Drive.

For the fourth consecutive season, Oswego Speedway has ranked in the top five of Speed Sport Magazine’s ‘My Favorite Track’ poll, finishing in the third position overall. Fulton Athletics Boasts Successful Winter Sports Season, Recognizes Loss of Former Coach

Fulton City School District Athletic Director, Christopher Ells recently spoke to the Board of Education on the success of all Varsity and JV winter sports programs finishing with numerous honors and distinctions across all teams. Ten varsity programs with a total of 153 athletes placed four NYS scholar athlete teams, six teams with members with All-League honors, 2 Coach of the Year recipients, ample individual awards and championship and tournament wins. Board of Education member, Dan Pawlewicz took the opportunity to send condolences to the athletic and teaching departments at FCSD, as they recently lost a vital member of their team. Physical education teacher at G. Ray Bodley and long-time varsity volleyball coach, Caroline Richardson lost her battle to ovarian cancer on March 19, 2016. “We lost one of your coaches (recently), please share that our thoughts and prayers are with her, her family and everyone at GRB. Big loss athletically and academically for Fulton,” Pawlewicz said.
