Oswego State volleyball came away with two victories in SUNYAC Pool Play on Saturday at Max Ziel Gymnasium. The squad took the first match 3-1 against Plattsburgh (25-27, 25-14, 25-13, 25-19) followed by a 3-1 win against Buffalo State (21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-23).

The Oswego State men’s soccer team lost a 2-0 match to nationally-ranked Oneonta on Friday afternoon. With its first loss in SUNYAC play, Oswego falls to 1-6-1 overall while Oneonta remains unbeaten at 7-0-1.
Oswego State student-athletes and the college’s athletics department are looking forward to all of the opportunities and benefits that a new turf field and stadium will bring starting next summer. Construction recently began for an NCAA-compliant, 225- by 360-foot all-weather synthetic turf field along with a press box, bleachers and full stadium lighting to be completed by the summer of 2015, according to Susan Viscomi, the college’s director of athletics.
With the 2014 Oswego Speedway season now in the books, focus shifts to the Mitchell’s Speedway Press Oswego Speedway Hall of Fame Banquet set to be hosted by the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center in Oswego on November 1. The Oswego State men’s soccer team lost a 1-0 contest against Wells College on Wednesday afternoon, falling to 1-5-1 on the season. Despite the tough loss at home, Oswego outshot the Express 25-9.
Lighthouse Lanes invites any and all participants to come and join this racing centered league, focused on gathering Speedway friends and supporters once a month to help pass the Speedway’s off-season. Each team must consist of four bowlers, in any combination.
Pat Lavery’s Double Deuce Racing Supermodified, which finished second in the 58th running of the Budweiser International Classic 200 at Oswego Speedway, will be on display Saturday, September 20 at Performance Harley-Davidson, located on North Geddes Street in Syracuse. The display will be a part of Performance Harley-Davidson’s Fall Open House celebration, beginning at noon.
