The Hiles are known as one of the hardest working family teams in Modified racing. Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway all their hard work and late nights in their Syracuse race shop paid off as Chris Hile won his second career Fulton Speedway Big Block Modified feature. Chris Hile took the lead on the opening lap of the 35-Lap Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar Modified feature.

With 22 days remaining until the International Classic, the countdown continues with No. 22, Johnny Benson’s surprise victory in the 1966 International Classic. Just when most thought the Michigan invasion at the Speedway was over; Benson rode into the ’66 Classic with his white, upright No. 21 Supermodified and stole the show. Other than a rather obscure 30th place DNF in the 1964 Classic, Benson had never truly tried to compete at Oswego until the ’66 edition of the great race.
With 23 days remaining until the International Classic, the countdown continues with No. 23, looking back on the 2003 International Classic which saw Mike Ordway and Clyde Booth finally reach victory lane. Booth and Ordway had been trying to win the International Classic for 20 years; sometimes as teammates, sometimes as rivals.
With 24 days remaining until the International Classic, the countdown continues with No. 24, looking back on perhaps the greatest drive in International Classic history, as Nolan Swift made up two laps to win the 1971 Classic.
As the countdown officially begins toward the 58th annual Budweiser International Classic 200 for Novelis Supermodifieds at Oswego Speedway on Sunday, August 31, we look back at the Top30 moments in International Classic history, with the assistance of George Caruso’s ’50 Most Memorable Moments of the International Classic.’ With 25 days remaining until the International Classic, the countdown continues with No. 25, looking back on Mike Muldoon’s long awaited victory in the 1995 International Classic.
Former NASCAR Whelen Modified Series champion and open-wheel driving veteran Bobby Santos has officially entered Oswego Speedway’s 58th annual Budweiser International Classic 200 for Novelis Supermodifieds set for August 31. Santos, who claimed the 2010 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship, enters the Budweiser International Classic as the driver of the Mike Barbera Racing, Muldoon chassis, Top Quality Construction No. 45 machine.
