The Oswego State women’s basketball team concluded its regular season with a 82-58 loss at Cortland on Saturday afternoon. Oswego finishes its 2013-14 season with a 6-19 mark overall and 2-16 in the SUNYAC.
The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team came back from two separate deficits to beat Potsdam 4-3 on the road Friday night. With the win, Oswego improves to 16-6-2 on the year and 9-5-1 in SUNYAC contests while the Bears fall to 9-13-2, 4-9-2.
The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team came up just short 1-0 against No. 1 Plattsburgh on Friday night in the Campus Center Ice Arena. Oswego’s loss drops its record to 16-7-1 overall with a 10-4-1 mark in ECAC West competition while the Cardinals improve to 22-1-1, 14-1-0.
The Oswego State men’s basketball team knocked off No. 14 Brockport 95-83, handing the Golden Eagles just the third loss of the season in dominating fashion. With the win, Oswego improves to 15-9 on the season and 9-8 in the SUNYAC while the Golden Eagles fall 20-3, 14-2.
The Oswego State women’s basketball team fell 51-50 in heartbreaking fashion to Brockport in its final home game of the regular season. With the loss, Oswego falls to 6-18 overall and 2-15 in the SUNYAC while the Golden Eagles improve to 9-14, 5-11.
The Oswego High boys’ hockey team squares off in Section III semifinal action at 7 tonight (Feb. 18) at Fort Ontario in a game with Skaneateles.
Oswego’s 2-0 weekend has large implications on ECAC West standings as the Lakers now sit four points ahead of Potsdam with one weekend left in the regular season. The women currently sit in third place with 21 points as Plattsburgh and Elmira are in a tie for first with 26 points apiece.
