The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team (3-1-1) edged Neumann University, 2-1, in an ECAC West overtime battle on Saturday.

The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team won in a commanding fashion on Saturday, beating Elmira College 7-3.

The Oswego State women’s basketball team made a second half comeback against Rochester Institute of Technology, beating the Tigers 87-74 to win the Max Ziel Tournament on Saturday.

The Oswego State men’s basketball team fell to Neumann University in the championship round of the Max Ziel Tournament on Saturday, 69-58.

The women’s swimming and diving team fell (135-65) while the men’s team flourished (115-90)  in a meet against SUNY New Paltz on Saturday.

The Oswego State men’s basketball defeated Lancaster Bible College 62-50 in the season opener as it hosted the Max Ziel Tournament on Friday night. Oswego will play Neumann University at 6 p.m. on Saturday in the championship game.

The Oswego State women’s basketball team opened the season with a 76-60 win over Clarkson University at home in the Max Ziel Tournament. Oswego will play for the championship at 4 p.m. on Saturday as it hosts Rochester Institute of Technology.

The September and October Oswego High School “Athletes of the Month” were soccer players Kyle Collins and Rachael Purtell (for October) and cross-country competitor Lainey Celeste and football player Alex Makin (for September).

The State University of New York Athletic Conference has released its 2013 Field Hockey All-Conference Teams, which include two members of the Oswego State squad. Seniors Ashley Collins and Ashley Fiorille both earned the honor with Collins named to the First Team and Fiorille placed on the Second Team.
