Five from Oswego State Women’s soccer team earn All-Conference honors
Sophomore Bailey Waterbury and junior Georgia Traynor each earned First Team honors, transfer junior Tia Segretto was placed on Second Team while senior Nikki Liadka and junior Bri Dolan nabbed Third Team accolades. Also being earned for the Lakers is head coach Brian McGrane, who earned Coach of the Year in his seventh season at the helm.

Laker women’s ice hockey team skates to tie
The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team (2-1-1) tied SUNY Potsdam in an overtime ECAC west battle Sunday, 1-1. The Lakers shot three times in the first three minutes of the game before Bridget Hamlin scored the first goal of the game at 3:06. Chelsea Hunt assisted Hamlin with the goal.

The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team (2-1) suffered its first loss of the season Saturday, losing in an ECAC West contest to SUNY Potsdam 3-2. Oswego outshot Potsdam 43-16 in the game
Three-Goal Second Period Powers Laker Men’s Ice Hockey
The nationally-ranked Oswego State men’s ice hockey team used a three-goal second period to gain control of the contest and defeat Cortland 4-1 in a SUNYAC matchup on Saturday night. With the victory, the No. 8/12 Lakers move to 2-1 in both overall and conference standings.
Oswego Kartway to Honor Champions at Annual Awards Banquet
With the record setting 2013 season at Oswego Kartway now in the rear view mirror, attention turns to the annual championship awards banquet to be held on November 16 at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego. The banquet, set to begin at 6 p.m., will once again honor the season long track champions in all 11 Kartway divisions as well as the semi-pro division champions as a part of the inaugural Fall Frenzy series.
Oswego boys’ V’ball squad wins Section III Class AA crown
Expectations were for a rugged five game set, but the Oswego High School boys varsity volleyball team played an all-around solid game on Wednesday night at Cicero-North Syracuse to capture the Section III Class AA crown. Oswego will square off with Section II champion Bethlehem at Burnt Hills High School in the Albany area at 7 p.m. on Friday.
