Forestiere Presents Program On Cooperative Extension To Fulton Lions Club

FULTON – Lion Paul Forestiere, executive director/CEO of Cornell Cooperative Extension-Oswego County, made a presentation on the organization at the Jan. 21 meeting of the Fulton Lions Club.

Forestiere spoke about the origin, mission, and programs offered by cooperative extension.

The organization has been helping families and the economy of Oswego County since 1913. According to their website (www.thatscooperativeextension.org) “Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County still prides itself in being a leader in family, youth and agricultural issues. Our programs have been recognized for their success locally, as well as throughout the state and nation.”

Their primary programs are focused on Agriculture, 4-H Youth Development, and Nutrition, Health and Safety.
