MINETTO, NY – The Minetto Elementary School spearheaded an effort to raise funds for the Dr. Mary Walker statue that will be placed in the Town of Oswego.
Recently Minetto Principal Dean Goewey agreed to kiss “Peanut†as part of the effort to support the Dr. Walker memorial.
Mark Dawley (left) and his daughter, Amber, brought the pig to the school grounds where the entire student body witnessed the event.
The students and staff of Minetto along with the school district donated more than $1,800
