FULTON, NY – Carol M. Ware, 58, of Fulton, passed away Monday November 2, 2015, at Upstate Hospital, in Syracuse.

Born in Troy, Carol had lived in the Fulton area since 1977.

Carol received her master’s degree from Oswego State and began her teaching career in the Syracuse City School District.

She was currently the librarian at Cuyler Elementary School in Red Creek and was passionate about the Accelerated Reading Program she facilitated.

Carol was an avid runner, completing multiple half and full marathons.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary Rymiller Brennan; her sister, Elizabeth Brennan Long; and brothers-in-law, Robert Long and Joel Silvernail.

Carol will be greatly missed and forever loved by her husband of 37 years, Dale K. Ware; her sons, Samuel (Danielle), Colin (Kelley) and Andrew Ware; sister, Joan Silvernail; father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Wilma Ware; sister-in-law, Denise Ware (Mark) Burdick; grandchildren, Noah, Priya, Colin Jr., Kobe, Todd, Dylan and Chloe; nieces, Kristen, Jordan and Moriah and nephew, Kyle.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bowens Corners United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at the church, 758 St. Route 176, Fulton.

  4. I met Carol in the 80’s when I worked with her husband Dale. Carol was a very kind, energetic and sweet lady. I will always remember her smile and friendly personality. May your fond memories give you comfort and your faith give you strength. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

  5. What can you say about someone who you met when you were just 17…. when she was just a girl …and then you saw her become a woman, then a mother, then a grandmother ……
    Carol was more then a life long friend to me, we dated our husbands together, had our children together, I watched her become a grandmother…For many years, we shared every day life, holidays, school events….the ups and downs of life- she was the only one who could get my son to complete his confirmation requirements as his sponsor, she was my daughter’s god mother…she was funny and fun loving, smart and athletic. She adored her family..She was brave.. Braver then I could ever be..
    She was someone’s daughter, wife, mother and grandmother- but she was my friend- for a life time. She will be missed…..all of us that were lucky enough to be part of her life.

  7. I am so sorry to hear about Carol. She was a very nice woman. I worked with her at Franklin School. She is not suffering anymore. She is with God and is at peace. May her soul rest in peace. Coleen Dembowski
