FULTON, NY – Vincent “Dan” Greco, 85, of Fulton, passed away at Morningstar Care Center in Oswego on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.
A native of Lawrence, Mass., he lived in the Fulton-Granby area since 1965.
Dan retired in 1995 from Goldberg’s Furniture in North Syracuse after more than 22 years as a truck driver and warehouseman and had previously worked at Roy’s Furniture in Fulton.
He was a member of the Fulton Alliance Church where he served as head usher for 10 years and was a former president of the church golf league.
Dan served on the town of Granby Council in the 1990s and was chairman of the Buildings and Grounds Committee.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
Dan was predeceased by his wife, Ruth M. Craig Greco, in 2012.
Surviving are children, Anne Marie Greco of Massachusetts, Darlene Dickquist of Utah, Louise (Ron) Rombach and Laura (Mark) Stacy of Fulton, Christopher Greco of Florida and Fred Craig of Fulton; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 9, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, with services following at noon.
Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to the Fulton Alliance Church, 1044 State Route 48, Fulton, NY 13069.

uncle Danny made everyone feel special. he loved to visit and chit chat. he loved his cat and riding lawn mower. being with aunt ruthie was a blessing for both of them where one would start the other would finish.heaven is in for a real treat with aunt ruth,uncle danny,my mother and father and my sister sitting around the table up there catching up.wish I could see it iam sure it’s a sight. miss u all now the angels can ring the bells for u have been united. love to all
I first met Vince when he came into our shop on Oneida Street in1977 telling me I didn’t have a pair of shoes that would fit him. I found a pair and in addition to being a customer, he became a friend. I cut my thumb working on a pair of his shoes and still have the scar. Vince would come into the shop about once a month, sit down an talk to me about people, politics and life in general. Every once in a while, he’d show up at one of my outdoor gigs. He will be missed by all who knew him.
