OSWEGO – Stephen McMahon, 78, of Oswego, died May 2, 2026. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Marie (Brady) Serva.
He served in the Navy from 1965-1971.
Stephen drove Taxi for NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission for more than 20 years. His enjoyements were playing bingo and bible study.
Surviving are a daughter, Sheryl (Matt) Wagorn, a son Stephen McMahon, a granddaughter Ashley (Wesley) Mazac, and great-grandchildren Harvey, Riley, and Charlotte, and his former spouse Marilyn (Jack) Zewan.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Paul Serva.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:30AM on Thursday, May 7th, at Christ the Good Shepherd, 50 E. Mohawk St. Oswego. Calling hours will be held 11:00-11:30AM, prior at the Church. In lieu of flowers a donation in Stephen’s name can be made to St. Luke-John Foster Burden Fund, 299 East River Road, Oswego, NY 13126.
Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
