David J. “Agarn†Crisafulli, 51, a resident of 3989 Co. Rt. 4, Scriba, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late John J. “Fuddy†and Margaret (Greene) Crisafulli of Oswego.
He received a bachelor’s degree in professional studies from Oswego State and his MBA from Syracuse University.
David was an Employee Concerns Manager with Constellation Energy at Nine Mile and a supervisory committee member at Oswego County Federal Credit Union.
He built his own home and enjoyed, woodworking, deer hunting and published his own autobiography titled “Good Enoughâ€. David was an avid New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys Fan and Seinfeld enthusiast. He was a professional scout for Paramount Major League Baseball and was inducted into the Oswego State Baseball Hall of Fame.
Dave loved to golf and published an annual newsletter titled “Glory Days of Golfâ€; he also raced twice in the Tour De Loop bike race.
Surviving besides his mother are two sons, Daniel and Austin Crisafulli and their mother, Tonya Crisafulli all of Oswego; one brother, Daniel (Laureen) Crisafulli of Aqoura Hills, California; one sister, Colette (Rick) Robinson of Schnectady, NY; two nieces, Marissa and Marlena Crisafulli and a nephew, John Maguire; and girlfriend of many years, Julie Cox.
Funeral Services will be held 10a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Church, Oswego.
Entombment will be in All Saints Mausoleum, St. Peters Cemetery, Oswego.
Calling hours will be held 3-7p.m. Sunday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.

I am so very, very sorry to hear of Agarn’s passing. He was taken way too soon. He was such a wonderful person and will be missed dearly. I’m at a loss for words. My sincere condolences to his family, he is in God’s hands now, rest in peace Agarn….
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I now live in California but grew up in Oswego NY and have been in touch with Collette (who I went to school with) many times over the past years… even recently. 51 is so young – I am so sorry to hear of his passing. May he RIP forever in the arms of the Lord and may the family find peace at this sad time.

Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant , we shared many laughs together, and his sons played sports with our grandson’s Joey and Nick Farella who grew up just down the road on Co. Rte 4, I don’t know how many times i have driven past his house and said to myself i got to stop and see “Agarn” well as usual being retired since 2000 from JAF , I lost contact with many of many friends after i retired but have not forgot them, seems we are way too busy with our hectic lives and don’t take time to stop and smell the roses until it is too late,”Agarn” is now at peace with Lord and has gone home to be with him to suffer no more, may he rest in peace

We are extremely saddened by the loss of such a fun-loving and inspirational man. Dave made a positive impact on our lives and the lives of all the people around him. He was quick with a joke or an amusing story. He always had a smile on his face. We’ve enjoyed countless visits with him over the years at our stand, when he would stop by to pick up berries or sweet corn to take home. We will continue to think of him fondly each time Pete talks about his childhood little league memories, the great time we had at his 50th birthday party, look out at the deck he helped us finish or the picnic table he built for us. He will surely be missed. May God bless all of you and give you strength.

I am so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. I retired from JAF in 2007 and now live out of the country. Dave was a great person and although I did not know him well, he was the type of person that everyone liked and admired. He will be greatly missed by all. My sincere condolences in your loss and I can honestly say, Dave made a difference in his short time with us.

Dave, 1976 – you were the first person to welcome me to Oswego and you did so without judgment. I’ll never forget you.
Rest in peace Dave, my memories of you will keep me smiling. “Tuck your ears in, Bugs!” Loved that one….especially when you got the opposing pitcher off his game; looking into our dugout.
