PHOENIX, NY – Kamden Darrell Mauser, 67, of Baldwinsville, former Phoenix resident, passed away in Natick, Mass., on Wednesday May 25, 2016.
He was born in Clarksburg, W.Va., to his late parents Wilda Evonne (Emery) and Donal K. Mauser on Sept. 12, 1948.
He was a 1966 graduate of Liverpool High School.
Kam had been a supervisor for TSA under the Department of Homeland Security, at Hancock International Airport, Syracuse, NY.
Previously worked for the Miller Brewing Co., in the town of Volney; the J. R. Simplot Co., in the town of Salina; and assisted with services at the AGT Funeral Home, Phoenix, since 1997.
Kam was a former member and officer of the Phoenix Fire Department, Enterprise Fire Co., as a first responder medic for many years; he was known as “Coach” to many of the students throughout the Phoenix school district for his dedication to youth sports for many years.
He coached football, baseball, softball, and basketball.
Kam enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and golfing.
Kam was a kind spirit, giving to others and taking pleasure in doing so.
He had a great smile.
He always included people in fun events as well as working tasks.
Family and friends were very important to him and he demonstrated this throughout his life.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Patricia A. (Pearson) Mauser; his son, Kamden J. and daughter-in-law, Sara Mauser of Lynfield, Mass.; his daughter, Jaime M. and son-in-law, Steve Woodworth of Baldwinsville; his six grandchildren, Michael, Kamden, Colin, Kyle,
Kaelyn and Zayne; his siblings and their spouses, Debra and Nelson Theil of Boston, NY, Donnetta and Greg Hayduke of Clay, Stephen and Pam Mauser of Baldwinsville, Eric and Shay Mauser of Mexico, and Rebecca VanGorden of Liverpool; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and many friends throughout the region.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 1 to 3 and 4 to 7 p.m. in the First Congregational Church, UCC, at 43 Bridge St., Phoenix.
The funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. in the church with Pastor Karen Marshall officiating.
