Chris Ulanowski, 51; of Fulton.
He was born to Edward and Agnes (Kalafut) Ulanowski of Buffalo, NY and he has been a resident of Granby since 1982. Mr. Ulanowski was a Journalist who graduated from Canisius College, Buffalo with a BA in History and Communications.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years Rochelle C. “Shelley” Manley, 3 daughters: Charity Musielak of NJ, Lindsey Manley of IL, and Hillary Manley of NY and 4 siblings: Dolores Hastings, Maryanne Kern, Edward Ulanowski, and Marise Grosenbaugh all of NY and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services and Burial will be held 9:00 AM Wednesday at Fairdale Cemetery, Hannibal. There will be no calling hours. The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton has care of the arrangements.

I was so sorry to learn that Chris passed away. I’ll always remember the many times I worked with Chris on WRVO and how much I learned about radio news from him. The AP and Syracuse Press Club awards that we won together still grace my wall and will continue to serve as reminders of his best days.

He was a good guy, I remember seeing him at the IGA a year or a year and a half ago, and he was asking about how everybody in our family was doing and I could tell he was really interested where we were and what we were doing since we had graduated. I had great respect for him as a journalist, and he always seemed to have good information about everything that was going on in and around Oswego. He was also a very enjoyable and congenial guy. I still have a cassette tape he made for me of a live Grateful Dead concert. I had mentioned to him once that I liked the band and he went to the trouble of making the tape for me. He’ll be missed for the skilled journalist and nice guy that he was.
