OSWEGO, NY – Thomas Mosher of Oswego died Tuesday Jan. 17, 2012, at Oswego Hospital, after a brief illness.
Mr. Mosher was born in Binghamton, the son of the late Charles and Nellie (Moody) Mosher, and he has resided in Oswego most of his life.
Mr. Mosher was the vice president and manager of productions at the Fulton Boiler Works in Pulaski.
He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, and the Dante Alighieri.
Mr. Mosher enjoyed bowling, and especially traveling to his camp in the Adirondacks.
He served in the United States Army during World War II, he was the recipient of the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon with two Bronze Stars, Combat Infantry Badge, Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Ribbon and the Purple Heart.
He was predeceased by his wife, Anne Mosher; daughter, Diane Cosselman; sisters, Marion Dowey, Laura Williams, Eleanor Ferguson and Nellie McKinstry; brothers, Charles and Alfred Mosher.
Mr. Mosher is survived by his children, Tom (Mary Grace) Mosher of California and Mary (Richard) King of Oswego; his sister, Mary Hest of Nedrow; grandchildren, Theresa Bailey, Rusty Bailey, Chuck Mosher, Brandy Laggassi, Melody Mosher Body, Jason Bailey, Richard King and Nicholas King; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:30 a.m. from the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home and at noon at St. Joseph’s Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gregory Kreinheder.
Burial will be in All Saints’ Mausoleum.
Calling hours will be Friday 3 – 6 p.m. at the funeral home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
