Jane Segretto Falise, a life long resident of Oswego passed away Friday October 9, 2009, at the age of 91.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Dorotea (Perticate) Segretto who were one of the early Italian Immigrant Families of the Oswego Community. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank, Phil, Tony, John, Peter, and her twin brother Joseph, and sister Giovanna. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s School, a 1936 graduate of Oswego High School, and a graduate of Rochester Business Institute. She retired from Bishop Cunningham Catholic High School in 1984.
Mrs. Falise enjoyed her retirement with music, social organizations, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of RSVP and the St. Anne Society. She was also a Trustee for St. Joseph’s Church from 1992-1994, and a member of St. Joseph’s Choir.
Surviving are two sons, Phillip P. Falise of Buena Vista, CO, and Peter J. (Donna) Falise, of Fairport, NY and a daughter, Dr. Roseann Falise of Oswego, two grandchildren Kristopher (Jessica) and Megan; and, two great-grandchildren, Angelo and Gianna Falise.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 8:30 a.m. from the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, and 9:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West Fourth street Oswego.
