Willard Corbett Sr., 77, of Varick Street, Oswego died Thursday morning in the Oswego Hospital.

He was born in Watertown the son of the late Joseph and Esther (Yousey) Corbett. Mr. Corbett was a member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local # 73, Oswego, where he worked from the local for many years before his retirement. He served in the US Army from 1948 until 1957.

Mr. Corbett is survived by his companion of 43 years, and his son Willard Corbett II of Miami, FL, and daughter Susan (Greg) Peterson of Volney his brothers and sisters, and four grandsons and two granddaughters.

  1. We were really sorry to hear about Willeye’s passing. He was a great guy and always brought a smile to our faces. Rest in peace Willeye. We will miss you.

  6. Sorry to here about your Dad. Glad to get in touch with you. I’m guessing that there will be a reunion in 2011. Hope to see you there. I was just remembering names and putting them into the search engine and found this with you in it. Hope life has treated you kind. Will be at Brennen’s Beach @ Pulaski this coming summer, a good possible location for the reunion. They have all kinds of amenities for the day and lots of room. Right on the Great Lake Oneida and a big room for a get together. Have an in with the staff! I’ll still have to contact them. Do you still play football? I still play the drums and sing abit.
