The Fulton woman who was arrested twice earlier this year for allegedly stealing from local businesses has been arrested again, charged this time with insurance fraud. Karen S. Goppert, 38, of 103 Senior Ave., was arrested Friday and charged with third-degree insurance fraud, a class-D felony; first-degree falsifying business records, a class-E felony; and offering a false written statement, a class-A misdemeanor. Before she died Aug. 30, police say 11-year-old Erin Maxwell lived in difficult conditions at her home on Route 264 with her father, step-mother and step brother. Tuesday morning, police arrested Lindsey and Lynn Maxwell, charging each with six counts of endangering the welfare of a child. New York State Police in North Syracuse have arrested a Pennellville contractor for allegedly failing to complete a job he was hired to do at a Manlius residence or returning the money for the job.
