Oswego County Will Hold Flu Clinic Oct. 9
The Oswego County Health Department will hold a seasonal flu clinic on Friday, Oct. 9, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Nick Sterio Public Health Clinic on Bunner Street in Oswego.
The Oswego County Health Department will hold its first seasonal flu clinic on Monday, September 21, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Nick Sterio Public Health Clinic on Bunner Street in Oswego. The next flu clinics are scheduled for Wednesday, September 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the H. Douglas Barclay Courthouse on Bridge Street in Pulaski; and from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Nick Sterio Public Health Clinic on Bunner Street in Oswego.
Regular hand washing is a key component of the district’s plan to try to keep down the spread of the H1N1 virus. District officials discussed the plan Wednesday night at a public meeting attended by fewer than a dozen people.
The district will outline its plan for communicating during any outbreak, tell parents what they can do to help stop the spread of the flu and discuss the steps the district will take to keep flu from spreading.
The district intends to share its plan for communicating to the community during the expected outbreak of H1N1 this fall and winter. It will also outline the steps being taken at school to lessen the spread of the virus and give parents some ideas on how to protect their children from the flu.
