Catholic Charities of Oswego County Announces Fresh Food Distribution

On Wednesday, October 8th the Emergency Services Program of Catholic Charities of Oswego County in cooperation with the Food Bank of Central New York will sponsor a fresh food distribution. Fresh foods and produce will be available, free of charge, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm or until food is gone.

Constellation Energy’s Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Collects Food for Local Pantry

</p>Constellation Energy employees collected boxes of pantry staples to assist a local food pantry.

The food drive was in addition to a recent financial sponsorship of the Food Bank of Central New York. Employees collected boxes of pantry staples such as peanut butter, cereal, tuna fish and other items to assist a local food pantry recover from the summer months when many emergency food programs see a significant increase in need and decrease in donations.

Catholic Charities Offers Food Sense Program

Each month through the Food Sense Program families and individuals have the opportunity to purchase specially priced food packages consisting of fresh meats, fresh produce, and frozen foods.  In addition there are special featured items each month that may be purchased separately or in addition to the food package.
